Foothill Roots Farm Policies


Welcome to our CSA program! Thank you for your support.


Here’s how this works:

1. Once you have signed up online, your order has been processed and will be delivered. Please check your confirmation email for details about your order.

2. At pickup, check the delivery list for what is listed next to your name.

3. Initial the delivery list next to your accounts order to indicate you've taken what was delivered for you.

4. We suggest bring your own reusable bag to the pickup sites, repacking your shares at the pickup site and not taking your box/bag home.

5. Otherwise, return your empty boxes carefully broken down and placed in the appropriate box.

Pick-up

We are only able to guarantee delivery during the designated pickup hours. Please make your own arrangements for getting your shares on time. Spring/Summer pick-up times: Tuesday, 4-9pm, Winter pick-up times: Tuesday 3-9pm.


We reuse the vegetable boxes! (and fruit bags/boxes)

We suggest you bring a reusable bag each week to the pickup site to collect your fruits and veggies. If you do take your vegetable box, please bring it back each week and leave them carefully broken down and placed the the appropriate location. Please take care of the bottom  flaps when you break down your boxes!

Cancellations

We appreciate the opportunity to address concerns that may arise and help clarify how our program works, so please contact us immediately if you are dissatisfied.

In the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) model of farming, your subscription is an investment in our costs to grow your food for the season, and we are relying on your support to get through the harvest. That said, we know things come up and we will accommodate unforeseen needs to cancel your subscription and refund the weeks that have not been delivered. 

Cancellations must be in writing or email, at least one week prior to the date of delivery.

Privacy Policies

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your membership.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for 'https' at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. 

If you feel that we are not abiding by this privacy policy, you should contact us immediately.
